Rusted spring perch , what to do.

the pictures explain themselves .... It drives fine, numbs and hard turns make me worried.

The only options I see are taking it to a body shop and having it fixed professionally OR you could say fuck it and convert to rear coilover so the spring no longer sits there. But that will open up a whole new can of worms so I say just get a quote to fix it.

go to your local circle track or drag shop preformance racing parts store.
You can buy an adjustable spring perch for less then 60 bucks, weld it up into place then you can also adjust ride height with a few simple turns

sigpic1984 318i Total conversion to a DIRT race car.

The car has 320k plus, so I guess I'm gunna go with the cheapest way, not sure if I'm gunna swap/build this one yet.

That is a structural portion of your car. The cheapest fix would be to fix the rail and weld in some steel plate with a spring centering nub.

How much would you think a good price would be for that , I don't trust body shops , always looking to rip you off

What could you use as the nub?
