Does anybody know what the spring rate for the H&R Cup Kit is compared to the Sport springs?

How would the Cup Kit springs matched with Koni shocks ride?

Springs don't affect ride quality significantly, unless they are too short and/or too soft to keep the car off the bumpstops.

Get something stiffer. For slammed, think IE.

I have H&R sports on my car right now, that I am pretty happy with. I may switch to the IE springs later.

My brother was thinking about getting a set of the Cup Kit springs though for his car. The Cup Kit shocks are blown, but I also have a lead on a set of Koni's.

Does anybody know the spring rate of the Cup Kit springs?

They are low - less than 182/343 (h&r sport rates). They have a ridiculous drop too - I wouldn't even consider h&r cup kit if it was free.

I have the cup kit on my car, when i first lowered it off the rack i was very excited, when i first drove it i was extremely dissapointed. this is a very soft kit, it slams the car on the ground and nothing looks better but when pushing it hard the wheels rub the fenders before the "limit" is reached

There are other choices out there besides H&R and IE. IE's
springs give you a reversed rake, lowers the ass too much.

Just get Ground Control coilovers. They're the same price as h&r race, and you actually get spring rate choice, height adjustability, and ability to corner balance.

There are also Turner J stock springs, but those are not streetable.

I never rubbed on my cup kit, but I did hit the bumpstops at least once every time I drove the car.

Uhmm...I think your bit wrong. Springs alone can affect a lot the ride quality of the car, I mean the comfort part. Personal experience. They affect more than changing sportier shocks alone IMO.

Speak to any suspension engineer if you can (which is NOT the same as someone who works at a spring or damper company).

Tire rack is about the best price with out having a connection.

Blunt has a J stock kit and he drives that thing all the time with a cage and 17s.
