    Drift Car Assistance Needed

I am starting to really get into drifting and having a lot of fun with it. Unfortunately im running on a 200k m20 and have finally out skilled the 135hp i have and need more power. Aside from some extra power, what are the "must haves" for an e30 drift car? I think my car drifts quite nicely, but i am still a noob... This is my setup

Assortment of different branded coilover parts, front 350lb with camber plates at -5 deg camber, rear 700lb with bilstein HDs all round. Put on "is" sway bars, and a 3.73 lsd. Im running 205/55/15 front and 185/60/15 rear. My ebrake is not reliable so i do not use it.

What should be my next purchase as far as suspension, steering... etc. Or am i on the right track and need more power now?

Pic from this weekend...everyone likes pics

To put it simply: stiffer rear end = more oversteer = more dorifto. Maybe something like an E36 steering rack + spacers could help you get some more angle?

Where are those pictures taken at? I have family in In the springs, maybe I'll finish the car and drive it out!

These were taken in north denver at imi motorspark, its a gokart track essentially. I live in the springs though.

As far as power goes, its nice to have but you won't need it. I've drifted stock m20's, and single cam KA's in s13's. Not easy, but doable.

Do a compression test on your m20, and depending on results, find a less worn in one. If you really want to have a freshend up m20, have your injectors rebuilt, and nab a Mr-E head with HD rockers so you can bang revlimiter in 2nd.
            (don't bang it off limiter.)

            Current suspension:
Those Bilstein HD's are probably just sitting on the bump stops.
Try and get a set of Koni dual adjustable shocks if you don't feel like getting a new set of coilovers (if you want coils, I can point you to a good set).

Also, your front spring rate is a touch soft, no?

Your roll center is probably really far off at that ride height. And you probably have a ton of bump steer. You can correct the rear with rear subframe risers. For the front, you're stuck unless you go with an SLR angle kit.

But you don't need that. raise the car a touch and see how you like it, I can guarantee that it'll be less of a handful when transitioning. You'll also have a better contact patch, and better wear on your rear tires as well.

            Regarding things to purchase:

Your diff is probably on its last legs. I would try and find an open diff from an eta, have it welded and swap over your 3.73 ring gear. I looked like I was fighting bees in my car when my diff went out.

Freshen up your bushings. (I had akg on my old drift e30).
rtabs, cabs, rsfb risers, sway bars. makes a world of a difference.
Do your motor mounts and trans mounts too. 90A will suffice.

Inner tie rod spacers are cool to have. I had a set on my 95 M3 Rack. tits

Here is a vid of me fighting a dead LSD(closed course). Even with the hydro ebrake, i was struggling. I was pissed too, cause the only things i added to the car was a fresh M20 and the cage. I looked like a rookie again.

            This is the main question:
You just trying to have fun, or are you trying to get serious?

PM me if you have any questions, I'm glad to help.

Thanks for the comment! I will for sure look into some of those. About the shocks though, i made sure 100% that im not on bump stops, i dont want to blow out my hd's. Konis are in m future though. Also new bushings are on there way.
I am doing this for fun, but in maybe 2 or 3 seasons, ill want to get pretty serious. Thanks again.
