    Spindle stuck

I'm doing my front suspension. I'm at step 9 here and I'm having an agrivating problem. On both sides, the suspension won't come free of the car. At this point the only thing it's touching is the control arm, but it absolutely won't be "pulled down and out" (and yes, I did remove the nut). It's moving freely about the strut tower, it's not being held by anything except the control arm. For some reason it's frozen to that control arm bolt.

Anybody else have this problem? Solutions?

Eh, I've been trying to work it with a hammer. I might be going to the store and getting a sledge hammer I guess.

You need to hammer like a man on the edge of the strut housing around the tapered hole the CA balljoint is stuck in.

As it turns out, the solution is a pickle fork, a breaker bar, a very large hammer, half a bottle of PB blaster and a propane torch. My control arm bushing is probably ruined, but I don't really care.

Thats not a solution then, thats just a hackjob that managed to get it out of the taper at the cost of ruining the ball joint.

Pay me to work on your car :) I like making money on the side.
