Springs and shock absorbers. Which combination is the best?

    Hi,

    my car is a BMW E30 318i, model 1984, 4-door.
I am looking for buying a kit of springs and shock absorbers. I am also thinking buying a cheap coilover, if the quality is good.

The car will be used only for rides as a second car. But i want to achieve a better appearance and a more tight driving feeling.

    Can you advice me?
    Greetings from Greece!

Cheap and quality are mutually exclusive. And there is no "best" spring/shock combination. The choices come down to how the car will be used and how much money can be spent.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

As i wrote above, the car will be used as a second car, some days per week. I intend to spend max 300 euros.

You need to buy oem replacement shocks and you will be ok.

Thank you. And what about springs?
My E30 now rides on Bilstein absorbers, but i do not know the model. If i remove them from the car, could i read on them the model?

Every absorber can be fitted in every spring?

I do not know much for absorbers/springs..

Also, could you suggest me a tested combination ?

in my reference I meant shocks as struts/absorbers/incerts...or anything that represents a shock.
As for the springs, just go oem or some stock e30 m3 springs..those will be ok with stock shocks/absorbers/struts/incerts.
