Problem installing my front h&r race with billy sports.

Looks like my stock drop hats or what ever ya call them aren't going to work... There's an inch or so of slop now with the Lowe springs. Do you have to use different drop hats with these springs?

Ok yeah with the housing clamped on the work bench with the spring and hat on top there's an inch or more of a gap. It would make sense that the weight will bring the spring up to the drop hat. It just seems that a good sized bump would losing the spring up and it would pop out this way...

R3vlimited, the spec-e30 racing community, and myself promise you that it will not pop out from a bump. :)

Not too happy with my control arms... I've had the car for four years and haven't looked at them till now. I can reuse them, but should I replace them since I'm doing struts and springs?

If you don't replace the entire control arms, replace the ball joints at least. They can be pressed out of the arms and new ones can be bought for ~$20 each.

Just think of all the people only running 4 and 5" springs with the same struts.

Spring pads are not required FYI. They have been off of my current E30 since 2005.

You can buy all 4 Moog ball joints (great brand) for about $60 from RM European.
