Title says it all...I've got h&r race spring and bilstein sports. Who's got some idea of how long tires last on this setup with no camber/toe correction? Enough that daily driving the car will be too much on tires? Curious about both front and rear, just trying to avoid smoking a set of tires to find out! Thanks fellers

Take, for example, spec-E30 guys running H&R races. You'll be hard-pressed to find someone who ISN'T running an adjustable rear setup. On the other end of the scale, my grandmother wouldn't necessarily need them.
Depends on how your drive the car (if you drive like my grandmother, then you won't get a ton off wear, but if you like to drive it like it's meant to be driven through the twisties then, yeah, you're going to see a fair amount of wear).Comment

im running billy sports and h& r springs, offset lollipops bigger sway bars on my 91 318ic
tire wear is something I have noticed
however...I don't drift corners....but near to it
so every few thou miles, I rotate
If your rear trailing arms bushings are shot, and the tie rod ends are loose, or any other suspension bushings....well....Comment

Camber and Toe are two different things here. The shorter springs will change you camber and you can't do anything about it except get camber plates. However toe can be corrected by any alignment shop, and should be.Title says it all...I've got h&r race spring and bilstein sports. Yeah, but I believe the OP is concerned with INSIDE wear, as that is what the increased negative camber, if not driven hard, would cause. SpexE30 guys add places to increase the camber even MORE, because they are trying their darndest to roll that rubber right under the tire and onto the sidewall ;)
All else being true and undamanged, H&R race will not increase your camber to the point where any tire wear will be noticeable. However if your toe is off that will chew through a tire in no time flat.-------------------------------------------------

Are we talking about camber plates or weld on trailing arm adjusters? Camber plates are front only, and won't help your rear one iota.-------------------------------------------------

Negative camber alone wont wear tires too badly, its scrubbing from incorrect toe that does the most wear.Comment

Those used to be my fronts. I rotated them because of that wear and used them for a bit like that when I was broke. The old rears (current fronts) have a relatively even wearComment

I was talking about both to remedy the issue both front and rear if needed, although camber plates appear to only INCREASE camber which I didnt know... I thought it just gave more adjustability overall which appears to be wrong.
In response to your other post, toe is not adjustable for the rears without the weld in kit (or offset trailing arm bushings but those dont seem like a great option, since camber and toe both change with adjustment), and toe does change in the rear when its lowered since it is a semi-trailing arm. That is my main concern since as you mentioned is pretty destructive.
Damn that is pretty aggressive, do you know how much camber you have in the front right now? 2-3* or more?
After some more searching, I found this awesome site which shows for ~1.5-2" change in ride height there is about 1.5-2* camber gain for the rear, and less than 1/16" toe-in between the rear wheels, which is great to know but Im wondering how this actually correlates to tire wear

You can use raised subframe bushings that Condor sells to help with camber in the rear if you don't want to get the weld in kit.

I bought revshift camber correcting poly subframe bushings and stud/spacer kit when I refreshed my suspension recently. From what I eyeballed before/after they helped, but I still have negative camber that I can clearly see. So that wear was done on the front of your car? Was that the inside or the outside of the tire?
My guess would be that your toe is off. When was the last time it was aligned? You'd have to run with massive camber for a LONG time to see uneven wear like that. On the other hand, if your toe were even a little bit off you could scrub those tires down pretty quick.-------------------------------------------------

To add to the mix, here are my 200 treadwear ZII tires supported by H&R race with about 3000 miles so far. I don't have camber plates or anything else that effects ride height or alignment besides CA offset bushings.
Rears with 2 degrees of camber
Fronts with 1.7 degrees of camber
And as always, proper inflation and driving hard can even out the wear quite a bit.
