Anyone daily driving a GC setup with rear spring rate higher than 700lbs?

    Anyone daily driving a GC setup with rear spring rate higher than 700lbs?

    I have a GC Koni top adjustable setup with 700lbs springs in the rear of my touring and with my wheel/tire setup the fender is kissing the tire sidewall.

    I am considering getting 850lb springs to help reduce the compression but am wondering if that is going to be way too stiff for a daily driver.

    TIA for any info/opinions.

    i daily drive 14k F and 18k R (1007 lbs/in?) ..
    Take into consideration that they're not GCs but i figured it might relate since my spring rates are fairly high and that my rear set up is also seperate shock and spring..

    My ride is only harsh on the freeway when the sections of the freeway merge or if there's a sudden decrease/increase in the elevation. If i was taller i would be hitting my head from the rebound.

    I'm a suspension noob so at one point i didn't run the rear adjusters for more "lows" ended up bouncing like i was on cut springs.. after putting the adjusters back and adding like 20mm of preload.. my ride settled down except on those merging sections on the freeway and of course messed up roads.

      Does your set up have adjustable compression and rebound damp?

      And if so where are you at on the adjustment on that?

        My Konis are only single adjustable and right now on 1/2 turn from full soft. PO had them on full stiff and the rear end ride was harsh.

          I assume that it will be only compression. So with that said if you are having tire rub issues and it is set that soft, before i went and spent money on springs, I would totally adjust the damp a few more clicks stiffer and see what that does for you. Because even though if you get technical it is not the same, you will be doing the same thing with the damp as the spring.
