    bilstein HD vs. Sport suspension?

i was planning to install hnr lowering spring on my e30. but the previous owner installed bilteins heavy duty shocks on it. hnr manufacturer recommend to install bilteins sport shocks with their product. i was wondering if and can just stay with my bilstein HD instead of changing it with sport shocks.

can anyone tell me what is the diffence with bilstein HD and the sport shocks. thanks

Sport won't bottom out while HD will.

The shaft on the Bilstein Sports are a little bit shorter than the HDs to allow for lowering/shorter springs. The valving is the same though. You can stay with the HDs, if you start to get bottoming out issues then trim the bump stops.
