    should i run power steering w a z3 rack?

I have had the 1.9 rack in for awhile now its awesome im gonna run bigger tires and m3 droplinks w a bigger bar soon so im thinking about this, the steering effort on the freeway is PERFECT. Is it"overboosted" w power steering?

I'm currently w/out PS on my Z3 rack and 225's all around which is making me think its time to add the power back. Don't know what size tire your running, but that initial turn from stop on mine is almost too much..
I love that people ask stupid questions so I dont have.

It's an excuse for me not to go to the gym so I'm good.

Haha,ya aren't turning the wheel much on the freeway so I wouldn't gauge the effort there.

It would probably be cool for a while but overall I think it would be better to drive with PS if its your daily.

Lmao if you guys think driving without ps in a rwd car is bad, should take my ix for a spin. My m30 swapped car is heavenly in comparison. Feels so light and easy. Especially now with no suspension under it haha.

OP: I suggest taking the ps belt off for a day and seeing how you like it. Opinions are too varied on this subject to make an accurate choice.

This. Also running a proper delete opposed to lack of a belt is a worlds difference.

just swapped a z3 1.9 rack in mine this weekend, and wondering if i should delete ps on mine..but the gf drives it..meh.

im only on stock 14s though..im suprised how light it still felt but definitely improvement over stock. i think im just used to the rack in my wrx..maybe its time for wheels/tires

Are you fellas talking about looping lines/using a plate, or the whole tear down thing?

Nah the e30 manual racks are hard to find parts for and are still like 4.something turns lock to lock. I want to delet power steering on my car my GF doesn't drive once I source a e36 rack for it
