I have a harsh shake/vibration at around 55+mph. It's is not always there. Some times there is no shake, sometimes there is a little, sometimes there is A LOT. I've tested the car on two wheel and tire combos, same result. I have also had the front suspension checked as well as two alignments. It does to change if I turn the wheel. The only thing I fou d that may be suspect is the steering shaft. If I crab it at the u/joint/ guibo I can pull up, indicating some play. There is very little movement though. If I rapidly shake the wheel though (up and down, not twisting it), I can see the wheel move left to right. Is it possible that is the cause of my shake?
