    Centering the Steering Column

I have my steering column unhooked from the knuckle, and steering rack for a rack replacement. My asshole friend decides it was a good idea to spin my steering wheel like a contestant on wheel of fortune.

My question is do i have to worry about getting the steering column back into its original placement or does it not really matter? If so, how would I go about it?

No searches, or the Bentley make any mention of this, so I am thinking it doesn't matter, but for some peace of mind I'd like some confirmation.

    Thanks,
    Chris

it doesn't matter... let your friend spin the wheel and pretend he's drivin' if it makes him happy

Center new new rack it by equal extension of the the ends (measure to the inner tie rod attach point). Center the steering wheel before you couple the rack to column.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

just make sure you center rack before you mate it to the knuckle. You can always remove steering wheel and line it back up.
