IE trailing arm bushings fit like ass?

I just installed some new IE TA bushings. The problem is, they dont seem to fit right. I installed them with the lip on the outsides of the trailing arm like the stock bushings, but in order for the trailing arm to be able to fit into the subframe, the lips of the bushings on both sides have to be pushed off of the lip, or else the assembly is too narrow to fit. By comparing them to the stock bushing, it seems that the lip side is shorter on the IE's, which makes since why they would need to be pushed out slightly. Is this how everyone elses is?

    thanks
