Greetings. I too, have been gearing up for a suspension upgrade. I've been surfing many forums and reading many pages of comments. IIRC, I think the consensus is that the Bilstein Sports do not have the proper valving for the IE 3's. But yet, SpecE30 mandates H&R racing springs with the Bil Sport shocks. The two springs are suppose to have the same rates but are designed a bit different from one another . The IE's will give a bit more drop. It seems, IMO, that the IE 3's pair better with Koni SA's. So much info and opinions out there. I can't recommend Turners site or flyingbricks site enuff for suspension package info. It can , at least, be considered a starting point. Try flyingbricks pages. They have a real easy to understand group of three packages. They may even let you customize a bit. My case would be their track ready package with some softening for more streetability. Meaning rubber instead of so much urethane. But this is just me. The IE 3's may drop the car to the point that rear camber and toe is affected. The H&R's seem to be fine. Arghh. And so on.....

Pelican Parts is to have a new book out. 101 things to do to the E30. Wayne Dempsey himself is involved. Should be out by now. It was to have extensive info about suspension. Dunno. Gonna add it to my library anyway.
