Hey I'm looking for peoples negative reviews or bad experiences with your bc racing coils. Stuff like install, long term wear, stuff like that. Tons of people saying bad stuff about them without actually owning or riding in it a set, but not really any negative comments from people who use them.
Tell your your personal bad experiences with BC racing coils.

Why and what platform? The only negative comments I've heard are from people that ordered off the shelf spring rates or from newer applications.
I've had mine for almost a year. Easy installation, great costumer service, great adjustability, decent ride quality. For the price, I've had zero qualms.

I've had 2 sets. Sold my first set to my buddy and instantly regretted it.
The only "complaint" I have are that the rubber piece on the rear strut mounts looks like they had stress cracks and it was only after ~4k miles. No pictures, car is sold.
I will say that the car did not drive differently. Felt great the entire time I owned it.
Spring rates were 10k/12k.1990 325is Brilliantrot/NaturComment

It depends on your intended purpose. If you want to tool around town and look good doing it then BC coilovers are great for that (although I would opt for a set of Megans to save some money). They only lack in performance and quality control, although from what I heard they've stepped their game up at QC. And for what it's worth, I have installed these on cars, driven cars with BC, and dyno'd a set, but I have never actually owned a car with BC coilovers on them. So no I don't own a set, but I am willing to bet I have more experience with them than most of the people that do own a set.-AlexComment

This is my second set. First was on an eclipse and now on the e30. I have stiff rates at 10k front and 14k rear and it's still tolerable. Car feels great for DD duty and spirited driving.Comment

I know you're asking for negative comments, but I love mine. Easy to install. Easy to adjust. They ride great. No complaints, even with occasional drifting and track use. 10k and 12k. And I DD mine for about 700 miles a week...Derek-Comment

I think you have to consider the source of the reviews, and take them with a grain of salt (like everything on a public message board). A review from someone who DD's their car and has never owned a proper set of coilovers to compare is not a very dependable review.
We were initially approached with being an "exclusive distributor" for them prior to public release. Were given a set to test on a car. We installed them on an E30 race car and found the coilovers to not be fit for a track duty. The feedback is very vague in relation to what the car is actually doing. The shocks did not hold up over a couple races. Needless to say we passed on that offer.
Now for dd duty they'll work with the proper spring rates (though I'd rather run lowering springs and bilstein sports), but the short of it is if you're using them in a track situation you're leaving a lot left on the table.Comment

Don't get us wrong these aren't kw3 or ohlins quality but they handle their job. A set of corner balanced coils can be competitive In autocross and hpde. Obviously 1k coils aren't going to be the best on the market.
