    Tie Rod Shaft Diameter

    Does anyone have a new tie rod and a mic or set of calipers sitting around?

    I'm looking to buy one of those ball joint separator clamps and they come in numerous sizes, 20mm, 23mm etc and I need to know what size to buy.

      dont they usually have a V shape opening? i use the same universal one on my tie rods/control arm ball joints.

          You're gonna have to be more specific on which diameter you are looking for. The threaded part of the outer ball joint is 14mm in diameter. Is that what you were asking?
