I know, I went the cheap route and no wonder I have a problem. But when you get parts from Pick n Pull sometimes you end up with what you get.
When I lowered my '86, I ended up finding (what I believe are) Dinan front springs and Bavauto rears )2 different trips - never could find a matching pair.) For the front struts, I did buy new Billy Sports. The rears are KYB Gas-a-just. They were new on the junk car and it was a 50% off day, so $19 for both!
Now what is happening is if I'm driving on the highway and I hit a dip, the front will drop and immediately recover, but the rear seems to stay in the air a little longer and then settle. In other words, the whole car doesn't rise and fall at the same time.
I'm wondering if its the shocks or springs mismatch? I personally think the Gas-a-Just don't have as much control over the springs as the Billys, and that is why the rear end is staying in the air longer.
Opinions? And if I'm right, what would be the cheapest rear shock option that would match the control of the fronts?
