Ways to lower the front end?

So my situation is that I had to get 15 inch wheels due to the 17's that were previously on there being dented and me being stuck in San Diego with no way home. Anyway I don't mind the look of the 15's, but I feel the front end has a bit too much wheel gap. The previous owner of my car installed Bilstein sports with H&R sport springs all the way around. He also claims the front has M3 shock mounts, but never specified beyond that. Is their any easy ways to drop the front end maybe half an inch or so without cutting my springs or degrading performance?

Remove wheels = no wheel gap.

            Problem solved = profit.

I've been reading about people using E90 drop hats, should I go with those or aftermarket E30 ones?

Depends on what you need/want. Then just go from there. If you eventually want to go alot lower then just go coilover, don't prolong the inevitable.

I don't really want to go much lower. I just want to drop the front end a tad and get rid of the weird looking rake it has. I don't want to dump money for coilovers on this particular car since it's just fun daily transport for now. I have a different car for the real fun stuff.
