Had to share this pic of what happens when you lower your car back to the ground to quickly.

I have floating IE3 springs (when in the air)and should have slowly lowered it back to the ground.
I love that people ask stupid questions so I dont have.

Tought though when you hit a bump on the freeway and you feel like you caught air.. You just pray to the heavens for the springs to land back in place.

Drill a couple of small holes in the spring perch and wire the spring in place. No more problems.

                      Logic has no place here.

And on that note: honestly great solution. Would shortened strut housings also take care of the problem? How would wear on the strut be since you aren't using the full rebound as you're staying much more compressed....just some curious as I'm trying to learn more about suspension geometry and the like.

Honestly I back the spring out and placed it back in its place very easily. Ive read a few times that IE3 springs will float when the car is up the floor, you just have to be careful to not bean arse and lower the car back down slowly.

I had the car up because I was swapping from Billy Sporty to koni for added travel and compression. My car actually sits a 1/2 inch lower with the Koni.
