    bilstein shock part #'s

I’m going through my suspension and putting in some H&R sport springs. I checked my shocks on the rear of my car and found this part number:

    bilstein rear: f4-b36-2027-H1
what do I have? Billy sports or HD’s?

I’ve searched the web and r3v, but haven’t gotten a definitive answer and I’m hoping someone can clear this up for me.

From what I can tell f4-b36-2027-H0 are Bilstein sport shocks, but I can’t tell what the H1's are. I emailed bilstein, but haven’t heard back from them yet. I’m hoping what I have are sports and not the HD's... I don't want to buy 4 new shocks because my stupid PO used the wrong shocks for coil overs, which wouldn’t surprise me.

F4-B36-2027-H1 are Sport and F4-B36-2028-H0 are HDs. They both have the same valving: 1650 N of rebound at 0.52m/s and 565 N of compression at 0.52m/s. The difference between the Sport and HDs is the extended length: Sports are notionally 529mm long and HDs are 551.5mm long.

      Thanks for the info!

Good to know I have sports, they will pair with the H&R sport springs well.
