I have play in my wheel if I move it with my hands at 12/6 everything has been recently done. Control arms, tie rods, gc suspension. So I take the wheel off and it seems that the play is in the wheel bearing "on both sides. I have ground control shortened front struts from PO so I assume the bearings are new ? Barely 5k on the suspension. And I have no bearing noise what so ever ... Is it possible that both bearings died ? The car recently developed a shimmy before that it was smooth as glass . Maybe I'm over looking something here ?

Check the steering joint and steering guibo. Often the guibo starts to disintegrate and can cause loose steering.
To check for bad wheel bearings, jack the car up and spin the tire. It should be smooth and quiet. If it is grumbly/loud, the bearings need replacing. Another test is to grab the wheel top and bottom and shake it back and forth. If there is play, that is an indication of a worn bearing. Side to side play indicates worn tie rods and/or rod ends. -
It has top and bottom play but it makes no noise at all ... Any idea why ?-His-
