E36 rack install question

I installed an e36 rack and used e36 tie rods but after the install my tie rods rub on the wheels when im at almost full lock. I have 14 inch wheels and have read tons of threads but cant find anyone else who has had this problem. Am i missing something? thanks

I've read that you hjave to use both inner and outer tie rods from either an E36 or an E30 but you can't mix them (eg: E36 inner and E30 outer). Did you do that?

Have them reversed, left on right and right on left?
