45mm Strut Housing to 51mm Swap

Hey guys,

I'll cut to the chase - I've been looking everywhere for shocks that will fit 45mm strut housing and they just don't seem to exist in Australia.

I'm wondering if a 45mm strut housing swap to 51mm strut housing is firstly possible (as in space will allow), and whether this is direct bolt on or I need to swap calipers/any other parts.

I've looked for threads on this everywhere and it's very vague.

Any insight would be great - car is 90/05 318i

Just find 51mm housings/knuckles (whatever you'd like to call them since knuckles are permentely attached) . There are no fitment or other things to deal with. Simply just used different sizes for whatever reason.
