    Steering knuckle bushing/guibo

The guibo in my steering knuckle is pretty badly worn, and starting to give me a little bit of play in the wheel. Finding a replacement part is near impossible, is there a DIY fabrication someone has done? Or what disadvantages would come from just making a metal spacer to eliminate the guibo altogether?

Hopefully you find this helpful ..

I personally would not make one out of anything harder than a 80a-ish urethane (so no aluminum, umhw, or delrin). It is supposed to have give in it in the result of an accident.

I found mine at bmminiparts.com , they may show it as N/A but if you add to the pricefinder they will find it for you and email you a buying link.

A lot of guys completely remove theirs when they do an e36 rack swap. I personally wouldn't worry about it in a crash as I would have much bigger problems if I was in a crash that was bad enough for this to matter.
