    Custom coilover help

Hey guys. I have been doin some looking around and I am just going to build my own coilovers. I have some adjusters that work. I'm going to order 4 or 5'' 650lb springs for the rear as well as camaro gas-a-just shocks. Now for the front I plan on just cutting the spring perch off for now. I'm wondering if anyone has some pics of how low you can go doing just this method.. I know you can section the strut housing 2"" but I'm not doing that yet... if anyone can show me some pics and let me know there suggestions for spring lengths as well as shocks for the front. And their opinions on mr2 shocks as well..

The issue with just cutting the perch up front and moving it down is you are effectively taking all of your shock travel away. The reason people section their housings is to run shorter shocks which give them more travel when added into the shortened housings.

You CAN just move the perch but you'll be riding on bumpstops.

I would search and find the numerous threads that have covered this very topic.

    Good luck
