    E30 ride height

    Hi,
I am pretty new to E30's but not BMW's in general. So I need the suspension "experts" to help me out.
Does the vert ride lower than the 325is?
Does the "is" ride lower than a normal 325i?
Did euro models have different ride heights?

Information online is vague about what the dealers added on to make a is. Since I believe the cars did not leave Germany as a "is". Yes I do realize aftermarket coilovers and springs are available but im looking to stay with oem parts.

AFAIK they all ride at about the same height... Early models will have more wheel gap in the rear due to higher rear arches though. E30 M springs give about a 1/2" drop, E36 M yields a bit more I believe.

I forgot to mention I was basically asking because I was noticing different ride heights between my 1984 318i coupe and a 1987 vert. And thought a oem spring swap could help lower it. There is also plenty of verts in the pick n pulls for cheap parts.

Yes the lower wheel arches is probably all it is then. Some M3 springs wouldnt hurt.
        Thanks for the info.

Vert rockers are deeper and so may be slightly lower than their sedan counterparts.
