    CA tuned coilovers?

Just saw catuned post a new coilover setup on instagram. Anyone else see these yet? What are your impressions?

Looks like your typical 8k/6k BC, Megan, D2, etc. type coil over. Could be totally wrong though.

Might just be there XYZ coils they sell re-branded. Not much info on them and they don't have them posted on their site yet.

Lower spring rate in the rear than in the front? That seems opposite from most of the popular coilover options.

Wow... GC price tag, Megan/CX Racing/BC quality and performance. What a great deal!

Hello. If anyone has questions please let us know: sales@catuned.com
We knew by doing this there would be a lot of controversy.
These are sourced with German parts and built to our specifications and not even close to bc or xyz. We wanted something high line quality at a lower price.

Yes. I just put them on my '84 325e.
I am very happy with their quality. All the parts are well thought through and fit perfectly. Simple things like the bullet nose bolts that go through the strut towers made things easier then installing the OEM units. The front springs also have bearings between them selves and the locking nuts to make sure you dont get that load cracking noise when the springs slip during turning and going down an incline. Lots of adjustment in hight, preload, and dampening.
Only complaint so fare is that the tool for the locking nuts slips off easily. I have already talked to Igor at CA about this and better tools are being worked on.
Also, as I understand it, you can get different spring rates on request.
With the dampening set at its lowest it rides nice and smooth. Feels just like Bilstein HD struts and some H&R/Eibach sport springs. Firm but comfortable. You can dial the dampening up a lot and make things very stiff.

I'm just skeptical on those rates. I have st springs that are about 350 f/r and they suck major dick with the rear being too soft relative to the front.

                        Spring rates can be changed.
And its really not cool to start being so negative about a product you have absolutely no first hand experience with. You can come by my house any Sunday and take my car for a drive. There is a really fun little road about 4 minutes away.

I'm running them on my 323i and love them so far! Need to put some more time in with them this weekend.

I have mine set 3/4 of the way firm and it's definitely a solid ride. I may soften them up a bit.

I'm not trying to be negative, im just sharing my experience with spring rates that are ~equal front and rear. Looking for someone to explain to me how that would be a good thing on an e30, when almost all other proper setups have stiffer rears.

We're not equal. Plus valving is very important.
