Just finished 1st suspension install..need some help!

Hey guys. Just finished my first suspension install.
Replaced my rear eibach springs with h&r races.
Also replaced the completely blown to shit oem bilstein shocks with bilstein sports.

Finished it all, but it seems I may have done something wrong..
The top nut on the shock mount in the trunk moves a little bit.
I think the shock mounts might need replacing, but is it absolutely necessary for safety? Regardless, I plan on ordering one in the near future...

It appears that I may have accidentally installed the concave washers on the top upside down.. So I've flipped one over, and will be flipping the other tomorrow morning cause I'm burned then hell out.

I took the car for a little spin after finishing up for the night, and the car handles completely differently. It's nuts.

Sooo tight in the rear I had a grin from cheek to cheek.

But I still need to fix those top mounts in the morning.
Just curious though - what will happen if they are not flipped around?
The right side is completely torqued down, save for the play due to the flipped washer...

    Cheers!

Any clunking? You should be fine, I couldn't imagine it distorting the load enough to actually cause anything.

No audible clunking in the cabin..

This is a video I took to show you guys what I'm talking about.

Should replace shock mounts any time you replace the shocks, I really consider them a throw away item as you normally get customers back inside 6 months with a rattle if you reuse them.

You do appear to have the washer around the wrong way though. Big concave washer on the bottom under the mount against the bump stop, convex washer on the top above the bush. At a guess, maybe a small chance of it damaging the bush when it flexes. Easy enough to flip it over.

Edit: Just looked at your video, they are toast if you have the shock tightened down properly. The bush will flex a little in use, but not that much. From the footage it looks like maybe its torn from the body of the shock mount and moving up and down with the rod.
Just a little project im working on

+1, those shock mounts are blown. I'd recommend upgraded shock mounts. My preference is those made by Rouge Engineering, but the upgraded parts Bimmerworld sells are fine on a street car.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
