My friend offered to sell me his E36 camber plates and we were wondering if the plates would fit an E30? Ground control btw.

Unfortunately, they will not.
The e36 has different bolt orientation, and there is no room for the plate to slide under the strut tower on an e30.
On an e36, the entire plate slides for camber, and the slider dictates caster on the race plate.
