    coilover question....

i have ground control coilovers and everytime i jack my car the whole rear spring comes off the top hat so when i lower it i have to lower the car slowly while i hold the spring in the position were the spring just slides under the top hat. and just continue lowering the car from there. is this normal?

also ive been looking to fix my rear camber...any good kits out there were i can adjust my camber??

    thanks!!

If you lower the car, the spring will snap into place on it's own.

well i noticed on my previous springs (h&r) they just stay attached to the chassis and the rear assembly. and just stretch to however high i jack the car. the coilovers dont do this.....

Pretty common, easist soloution if you have the adjustability left would be to go with a .5" longer spring.

Any rear GC spring that comes loose when you raise the car is too short. I mean, my 6" springs don't do that, and with the perches ALL the way up I'm still almost tucking the tires.

On the rear trailing arms I have offset urethane bushings which are easy and no welding required...

                  Loosey goosey.

It' a matter of spring rate and ride height. If you have for example a 400# 6" spring it's going to compress 1" for every 400#. If the wheel weight is 400# the spring compressed height is 5". If you get an 8" 400# spring it's will have a compressed height of 7". raising the car 2". There have been a number of posts on the forums about this. It's not normal or abnormal - it just is. The high dollar/racing solution is a secondary spring that is very weak, say 25#/inch keeping the main spring seated. The quick and dirty is to make sure it reseats while lowering the car.
