    E36 M3 strut mounts fit E30?

Anybody know if E36 M3 upper strut mounts fit an E30? Trying to get away with using them instead of the E30 offset/crash mounts as that would save about $100. Thanks.

    No.

EDIT: Yes, if you are a cheap person and want to redrill the mounting holes in your e30 strut towers. But, don't do it.

I have no problem drilling new holes if that's the only issue.

It's not just drilling the holes, it's screwing up the suspension geometry.

Read this thread. And, see how easy I found the info by using the search function and looking for "e36 strut mount"?

In that thread, looks like the holes were just drilled in the wrong location, no?

No. If you obviously are not going to listen, and want to use the wrong parts and hack your e30 just to save $100, maybe you need a Honda.

Don't get so up tight man, I'm just asking a question. Nothing on this car is "by the book."

If you want to do this, knock the strut mount studs out and redrill the e36 plates. Don't drill into your strut towers, there's no need to.

You want to just place them so they increase camber and that's not a huge undertaking. Just ensure there's enough material to maintain good strength and you'll be fine. Don't do what the poster in the linked thread did. That decreased caster for pretty much no good reason.

                  That makes sense, thank you.

Update: that was easy. -3.5* camber up front. That's with the E36 M3 mounts and Turner adjustable plates, and slightly slotting the bolt holes. Had -2* before. Sorry for hacking up my car.
