    Flying Brick Performance suspension kits?

    Hello everyone,

I posted this on e30 tech and i figured i'd try here too. I like the idea of a full kit that covers mostly all suspension, but the "street kit" that's advertised on their site seems to be sorta no-name. I like the components of the "race" version but i'm afraid it will be too harsh for a daily driver. I personally don't really give a shit, but i'm afraid my girl might.
So what i'm asking is do any of you have it, or have any experience with it? I tried searching but with no results.

Ask Flying Brick what is in the kit. They have great service and should answer your questions.

They say what's in the kit on their site:
      - Koni Sport Adjustables - all 4 corners
      - Ireland Engineering Stage III Race Springs
      - Ireland Engineering Adjustable Street/Racing Camber Plates
      - Ireland Engineering Sway Bar Kit 25mm/22mm
      - Urethane Rear Subframe Mounts - Racing Grade
      - Ireland Engineering Rear Toe/Camber Adjustment Kit
      - Rear Shock Mounts - Urethane and Aluminum
      - IE Urethane Motor Mounts
      - IE Urethane Tranny Mounts

      $1800

to me it seems like it's a great deal, but i'm still concerned how harsh it will be on the New England roads.

The street kit includes the following components:

Bilstein BTS Shock and Spring Kit
        Eibach Sway Bar Kit
        IE Rear Sway Bar Mounts
        IE Rear Shock Mounts
IE Rear Urethane Subframe Bushings - Sport
IE Adjustable Front Camber Plates - Street
IE Urethane Rear Trailing Arm Bushing Kit

What's no-name about the above? IE is Ireland Engineering and Bilstein and Eibach are pretty well known. Let me know if there is any other info you're looking for. I'm adding a new one today that includes Koni's, Vogtland, and the ST sway bar package.

i didn't mean no-name in the sense of me not hearing of the producers but in the sense that i have not heard of the bilstien springs mentioned a lot on the forums.

The BTS system isn't mentioned much. I've never sold one and I'm not all that familiar with it. I've changed the options a bit to allow a little more flexibility in terms of what you can select as a package. I'll be modifying the selections slightly and how its organized, but if you check it out now, you'll find that you can get a pretty decent setup for under $1200. If people have other options they'd like added, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

No girlfriend but I have three daughters that give me feedback on my car whether I want it or not. Rims, low, and no bumpy ride.
I'd go with BavAuto lowering springs or equivalent that drop an inch or two but still ride like stock. Good shocks for them are KYB, Bilstein regular or Touring ,or Sachs/Boge OEM type. In case you didn't know, I'm the old and crazy dude that goes on and on about soft springs and stiff bars - preferably adjustable. Oh, I'm also the heretic that sees absolutely nothing wrong with cutting a coil out of the front springs. Beliefs that motivated me to buy a Nomex suit for hanging out in internet lounges.

I've modified the street kit to start with the basic bushings and it now includes bilstein sports, vogtland springs, and the ST sway bars. The shocks, springs and sway bars can all be upgraded so you can essentially create your own package. Hopefully this will work for people.

Look this may be harsh, but crap man, if she cares then take her car. My ride is harsh and I live in Ca. My girl complains and I just laugh. My car isn't modded to her taste. It's modded to mine. I don't see her complaining when her car is in the shop, or when she wants to drive fast. It's gonna be a rough ride. Buy a seat pad for your girl, cause the handling is worth it. I'm running kinda the same, but my stuff is all powerflex 1200 seem like a good price.

The street suspension package looks pretty cool, and it's nice that you have a number of options. One suggestion though...why not just sell Vogtland's kit that comes with their springs and adjustable Koni's that are valved for them?

I don't believe these are available for E30's, only the E36+

Those part numbers are identified as springs only by Vogtland. If they're including shocks, I suspect they're including them using standard Koni or modifying them on their own. That's a great price if that's what they're offering - even if they're stock Konis. Vogtland doesn't show any spring/shock combo available for the e30 and I tend to follow manufacturer catalogs more than websites sine they're more accurate.

Hmm...I'm not sure. I've seen the same kit one or two other places too, so I'm not sure if one company puts the packages together and sells them to the other stores or what. I just assumed the package was from Vogtland, but I guess I was wrong.
