Shock travel and length Koni yellow vs Bilstien HD

Does anyone have a side by side shot of the koni yellows next to the bilstien HDs? I've read that HDs are quarter inch taller, but I don't know if that's in relation to billy sports or the standard strut/shock size.

Application is for a rally cross 318is with m42.

I'm pretty sure the HD's are not .25" taller than a stock shock. They are taller than the Sport shocks though, as the Sports are for use with shorter springs. Any "sport" shock should be shorter in stroke than the stock/HD shocks.

I'm also building a rallyx e30, and I'm just going with HD's on stock 325is springs. I would rather run Koni's though if they make a shock with the same stroke as the stock shock but with better valving. I heard the guys who run 318is spec rally in Europe use HD's with stock 325ix springs...

How in the world where you able to decipher the eurospec rally forums? German is like a foreign language to me.

I have also been trying to find the shock travel length in each model. My local orileys carries some Monroe shocks that have over 8 inches of travel but I'm willing to bet the dampening might be poor.
