    E30 325es with E30 M3 Suspension?

I am looking to lower my car in the coming months, and I like to stick to the actual time period my car was built, so I'm not going to hassle with aftermarket suspension. I have basically concluded I want E30 M3 suspension on my car to lower it by some amount - I don't want stanceworks or some bogus. I want a very clean look but I also want to be able to handle Seattle streets haha. Is E30 M3 suspension a good way to lower it by a small amount; 1"-1.5"?

Also, anyone have any pictures of an E30 with the M3 suspension? Wouldn't mind taking a peek. Thanks!

If you wanna see an e30 with m3 suspension, type "e30 m3" into google.
Do you want to do just springs or the entire m3 5 lug suspension assembly?

I would just want the shocks - I wouldn't want to do a full out 5-lug swap. I believe that would be okay. I like the weaves I have on now :)

Shocks alone will not lower the car. You will need to change the springs. E30 M3 springs are shorter, but only by a little bit.

Why are you against getting a set of sport springs/struts? It would be the same process to put them in as changing to M3 parts and you would have better equipment in the long run. H&R sports with Bilstein HD's or sports would be about perfect for what you are wanting.

Just looked up the H&R sports - looks like it drops the car 1.25" front and rear - literally exactly what I want. I might have to get those..haha. Also, unrelated from suspension but would sway bars be a good add-on? I want my car to corner like no other :)

If your looking to minimize body rill with relatively soft springs, I would recommend switching the front to the m3 setup by welding on m3 drop link tabs and getting m3 end links. For the rear, ix and m3's used the same sway bar, which can be found fairly cheap used.

I wouldn't bother going any further than that with only a moderate drop. I doubt spending the money on larger adjustable sway bars would provide any real improvement for a road car on comfort oriented springs. Save your money for grippy tires.
