Strut Fitment Question

Will the springs and struts from a 90i car fit an 87e car? Sorry if it's a stupid question I have seen some variance in the piston size, reason for the question.

yes they will, only the early 318i cars had the smaller strut tubes (but even those would bolt in)

Thank you sir just what I wanted to hear lol. I thought they would, I researched parts numbers etc.. but I wanted to ask you guys just to make sure.
