Airbag suspensions on a 325iX?

If airbags where a great, reliable solution for being able to adjust the ride height on your car, then why is it that there isn't a single race team, in any genre of car racing that uses them? It's because they are meant for people who want to look "cool" at their McDonalds parking lot car "meets". It is not a functional performance suspension upgrade... Not hating on the "slammed" look, would just rather see a more popular non-IX E30 or some Honda be ruined rather than an IX...

The added weight, horrible spring ramp up, and lack of reliability makes it a no go for any sort of performance driving...
