    GROUND CONTROL!!!!

OMG IT MAKES POPPING SOUNDS, TIME TO BOYCOTT THEM...

    camber plates?

my guess is your springs are binding and you need wheel bearing grease, to clean your strut mounts or whatever, and use some zip ties. it's on bimmerforums.

I think it might be the coils binding because i have never heard of m3 control arm bushings making the popping sound, only the treehouse ones. It just gets real annoying when every ten minutes i get someone asking "whats the popping noise?"

Here is a list of my suspension upgrades as of right now...

        Suspension

        Front:
        -Ground control adjustable coil overs
-Ground control adjustable camber and caster plates
        -BMP Front Strut Brace
        -Bilstein Sport shocks
-Suspension Techniques 22mm Anti Sway bar
        -M3 Contol Arm Bushings

        Rear:
        -Ground control adjustable Coil Overs
        -Bilstein Sport Shocks
-Suspension Techniques 19mm Anti sway bar
        -Heavy duty shock tower mounts

it wasn't in reference to you dude, it was making fun of people who are complaining about THR eyeballs, etc.

But you can clean your shit real well and grease it, it should help. I've been meaning to do it too, as I have the same problem.

ground control makes those roller needle bearings for the camber plates. i have them on my ITS 240z and my car doesnt pop.

I am using the GC camber plates currently and must say the top spring hats with the needle bearings took care of alot of binding and some noise associated with linear rate coilover springs. Keep in mind the GC camber plates eliminate any rubber between the strut and the body of the car making for even more unpleasant noise. Increased harshness over bumps and road imperfections is common...fuh raze parts= fuh raze noise. I wish I could send you some in car audio from mine...sweet jesus....

The ireland plates use roller bearings between the spring seat and the plate but they still pop, if you have 2.5" springs you can pick a set of these up
that go between the spring and the spring seat

coilovers make noise. You can minimize it, but its still not a factory setup with rubber isolaters all over the place...

This is why I need to learn to search better... I just overtightened the nut that holds the top of a brand new strut into my new Ground Control Camper/Caster plates and stripped it out... Hopefully it isn't to dangerous to just rethread it. A new strut costs like $230.
