Ok to start car without power steering belt?

    Hi,
I changed my timing belt, water pump etc. Putting it all back together and the power steering belt won't tighten down. The track to adjust tension is stripped, the little teeth. So, I can't get tension on it.

I'd like to check everything, is it OK to start the car without the power steering belt on?

I'll have to order a new bracket thing, I don't plan on driving it much. Just want to start up and check for coolant leaks.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

Yes, a lot of people run deleted power steering.

thanks, assumed so but just wanted to get reassurance!

PS anyone know the part # for the tension bracket? I can't seem to find it.
