ECS Tuning Complete Suspension Rebuild Kit

    Hello,

I just picked up an Alpine White 318iS...my new project that I intend to turn into an aggressive canyon carver and occasional track car.

First task is to do a suspension overhaul (bushings, mounts, and arms) and then Ground Control coilovers.

Any members have an opinion on this complete bushing kit from ECS??

There are to be numerous poor aftermarket parts in some of their kits.

If looking for OEM try a sponsor like Blunt.

I took the time to add up the cost of an all-Lemforder rebuild, and blunts package is the cheapest by ~$10 for what you get, running though all the main suppliers. I'd recommend it, these aren't the parts you should be skimping on. Blunt's kit is $100 more than the cheap ECS kit, and Blunt's kit also comes with M3 cabs.

A good alignment cost >$100. You might as well buy quality parts so you don't have to replace them and also realign everything.

Thanks for the help. I knew something wasn't clicking when I first saw this package. Any links to the Lemford kit? Who sells the good control arms? Aluminum or stick with OEM spec?

You can use the Al M3 LCAs.

            Lemforder.

Use Blunt for the order, I believe he is closer to you so as to save on shipping.

Checked it out seems like a good option. How bout anything from Ireland Engineering? There headquarters are close to me.

Ireland Engineering has been around longer than any of the other guys mentioned. In addition, the parts we're talking about are sourced via wholesale warehouse chains (that ecs, blunt, and ie all access).

In full disclosure I work at Ireland Engineering but am currently enjoying a vacation.

We are talking about the quality of the parts, not necessarily the supplier..

That said, Blunt still has the best prices for these parts, and that's why he gets my business. Look at his complete suspension rebuild package. If you can beat his price for an all-Lemforder package, I will happily buy from IE.
