for street driving i have found that softer springs with slightly larger bars works good in the e30 while giving a nice ride on 17" or larger wheels(i cant go any smaller than 17" wheels to test as they wont fit)

ebelements: if you intend to get GC from GC ask them what they recommend for spring rates for perticular application... as stated before they are engineers first so they would know best what works for you as every car is modded different and being built for a different reason...
The e30 is my track car - I got the rates GC (and others) recommended to me for my stated uses. The car can be used on the street as needed, but I rarely use it except as a backup vehicle. I realize that the All Season bricks on there now are negating some of those benefits. It is a trade off for making it more tolerable when I do drive it on the street (not very aggressively).

i know that those are rates that you would find on a dedicated e30 track car... but they quoted you those rates assuming you would be on low profile tires... sprigs that stiff will do you no good with 15" wheels

      better tires+softer springs> shitty tires+ no springs
