    Power Steering Question

So today I made a U-turn and mid way during the turn I felt the steering wheel try really hard to turn the opposite I was steering, but I muscled it through. At first I though it was just a fluke thing but when I got to the next intersection to turn the steering felt different. When I got to where I was going I went to park and notice the steering was REALLY heavy, so I parked and when I got out looked in the wheel well to see if anything was stuck in it, but nothing was. On my way back to the car I noticed a belt (most likely PS belt) that was hanging from under the front of the car, I popped the hood and saw that it was just hanging on so I took it off. The belt is not snapped or anything it's just off. After driving the car the rest of the day I've come to actually like having no PS, I mean parking is a slight pain but only because I almost exclusively drive and park with one hand, ALWAYS. My question is will driving around without the belt cause any damage? I know people do PS deletes but from what I've read the remover the whole system or tie belts etc. I just want to know that if I continue to drive just without the belt will this cause potential harm to anything else. I just want to make sure because I taking it to the shop in a few week to get my AC fixed and if it indeed cause damage I'll just get it fixed while I'm there.

Your tensioner on the power steering pump bracket probably let go. You'll be fine until you get to the shop.

Do a delete. You will not regret it. No PS is between broken PS (hard) and working PS (easy).
