    Suspension help?

So the shocks on my car are on their way out and I needed some suggestions for some new suspension. As of now, my car's on H&R springs and (I believe) KYB shocks. It sits pretty low, but for some reason, I've still got an inch of wheel gap in the front (didn't have this when I first bought the car... wheel gap just appeared after I bought wheels). I want a coilover setup that I could lower my car a lot with and have some stiffness to them since my current setup causes my rear wheels to rub a little when I hit dips. I was looking into BC Racing coils because they're in my price range ($1k) and they come with camber plates too, which is perfect. But... they require welding, which I don't want to do. I've looked into Megans too but I've read around and many people say they're not that good. GC is what I'd prefer, but they're out of my price range, so I did a little bit more research and found the conversion kit, but only problem is that I'll still need shocks and I'm not too sure which ones I should get to stay within my price range. My friend could give me 2 rear Bilsteins but they'll be different from the front so I don't think that would be good. So, based on what I wrote, what would you guys suggest I do?

Well it seems like the reason why you have wheel gap is quite apparent and has been stated; gap appeared after you most likely put on new wheels that have a different wheel and or tire size from the previous set that didn't.
And with your budget and preference to not weld, you can come out just under $1k with a decent setup of GC's coilover conversion kit with your desired rates and a brand new set of konis or billy sports.

Tire size was the exactly the same and both wheels are 16s, though the new ones are a bit wider. The thing is, not only did my car have more wheel gap, but the front seemed to raise a little too. My lip no longer scrapes over bumps after changing the wheels. I was going to go with GC coil conversions along with the adjustable Koni yellows, but after some reading, it seems that I have to do some cutting and/or get the shorter Konis which seems like a hassle. I will most likely go with Megans as those seem to have the qualities I'm looking for, though I know I'll have to get those welded.
