replace springs without pulling struts?

Is it possible to replace front springs without fully removing the struts?
I have done springs before and normally replace shocks at the same time but this time I really only want to replace the springs. Shocks are fairly new....and would really perfer not to have to pull the strut off the control arm.

But if that is the only way then i will do that...

BTW, does anyone have any lowering/stiffer springs for sale?
