cheap arse here w/ suspension question...

im looking to minorly upgrade my suspension... so what can i do that will make a big difference??? my friends shop has a set of tokico hp shocks in stock (he doesnt know why) and is willing to sell them to me for 170. i heard alot of bad things towards these shocks, but i run canyons alot so im going to keep the car at stock height. also, im planning on getting polyurethane bushings all around and a 19mm rear sway bar.

opinions anyone?

What kind of budget are you working with? If your suspension hasn't been refreshed, stock replacement parts will probably make a big difference. Turnermotorsport also has that spring/shock combo for $600. Seems to be a popular multi-purpose setup.

my suspension is nice and tight right now.. theres no play anywhere, and my shocks are still good (gr2 & gas-a-justs) my limit is around 600-700... so i really have to choose wisely

stiffer lower springs will provide the biggest jump in handeling capability( after better tires)

if you dont want to go lower or stiffer... try finding a z3 1.9 steering rack... its a huge upgrade from stock

H&R sports combod with Bilstein sports. Maybe splurge on some m3 cabs as well.

The perfect candidate for adjustable front and rear bars. You'll have stock height, good ride, and be able to handle the bumps, etc.
Car will corner a lot better.

Yes, they suck.

Even at $170 - they're a waste of money.

What about M3 stock springs? You can get a set cheap, they will be a little lower and stiffer, but still be better over bumps then aftermarket springs.
