    Spring Rust

Does anyone have experience cleaning rust off of springs? I have some stock springs I'm going to swap in but they have a little surface rust (nothing major) that I would like to clean up before I put them on. Lightly sanding them down and generally cleaning them off doesn't seem like that big of a deal but I'm mainly wondering about how I should seal them (paint, etc).

Any ideas or experiences would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

alright cool, thanksl! Simple as that! I wasn't sure if just a can of spray paint would be enough, but I'll give it a go.

not sure how flexible Por-15 is, but I would use that as my first option.

would anyone recommend looking into getting them powder coated? Would the curing from that damage the springs? I think I'm probably fine just using a spray paint can - just want to be sure its my best option since they aren't on the car yet and I have time.
