    Camber Correction

Well I got my car back from the alignment shop and it is awesome with the new upgrades :) It rides so different (better) it is like learning to drive it all over again.

The only thing that concerns me is learning how out of whack the camber angle is on the front passengers side. -2.0 while the drivers side sits just on the edge of the factory specs.

I should mention the car is lowered slightly on H&R sports. What causes one side to be so much farther out of spec than the other?

I see that Bav Auto sells some cheap camber correcting strut bearings that are not adjustable but that doesn't really seem ideal as I only need adjusting on the right side and a half a degree still wouldn't get me to spec. Is my only option expensive fully adjustable mounts? Would a strut bar help to decrease excessive negative camber at all?

if one said has a very different camber angle than the other then something in yoru car is bent... if its out of wack enough that you care start replacing stuff... starting with the strut itself

Strut bars have no effect on static camber. You can get camber plates for the front, and eccentrics for the rear trailing arms to adjust camber.

Thanks guys. I guess since the car handles well right now I won't start replacing parts. The only pieces in the front suspension that are not brand new are the strut housings and swaybar, but the carfax shows a "minor" accident in the cars past so I guess it is possible the chassis is not in perfect alignment. I haven't yet gone through my paperwork to see if the previous owner gave me any of the previous alignment reports done prior to rebuilding the suspension.

Anyway, I'll probably destroy these tires long before the excess camber does and I'll see about getting some camber plates for the front before putting on newer, larger and more expensive rubber.
