Differences on 1988 325 Shocks? (Super ETA)

I have an 88 Super ETA, with bilstein sports. I know the part numbers on these are different than all other 325's. Anyone know why? Also what is different on my strut housing than other housings? Can I use these shocks in regular 325i housings or visa versa? SHould I just get a pair of 325i housings?!

    This sorta sucks

I've the same car as yours. Never had any issues with struts or springs at all....Pelicanparts.com lists the same fit for Bilstein Sport from 84-91, so are you sure the ones you have are the right ones? Could they be for a 318?

Your front PN should be F4-P30-0128-H1 or F4-PNE-3049-BE and the rear PN is F4-B36-2027-H0 according to Bilstein.

BMP, BavAuto, Flying Brick, everyone lists a different part number for the 88 325.

???I just looked at Bavauto...the PNs are the same for 325e and 325i in the 88 model...BMP is different, though....so why not just call them and ask?

I've had KYB, Boge, and Koni shocks on my car and I don't ever remember any weirdness with the fitment...

Its because the strut housing diamter is 45mm and not 51mm in the front.
