    Steering Rack and Pinion

Since no one wants to pay attention in the steering sub forum, I'll post this here.
Ever since I bought my car I've always had the problem that if I made a sharp turn in either direction, the steering will stick slightly in that direction. Someone mentioned that it might be the steering rack pinion (i think that's wat it is called) and i saw a refurbished one on ebay for 150. First off, is this my problem, and also, how much work is it to replace?

Not sure what you mean by, "replace worn rubber on it". Could you pls. elaborate. I have the same sticky problem with my steering as czag13 mentioned above.
