    Strut bar installation

I just ordered a IE front strut brace and measured my car and I ordered the appropriate short strut brace. However the darn thing wont fit right. It is off by like maybe a centimeter on one side if I have the other side on the bolts. I also tried putting both sides on at the same time and that didn't even seem to work. It was like one side or the other was just barely off. I can't figure it out, if anyone has experienced this or knows a way to get it on short of redrilling holes I would appreciate feedback.

this is my dilemma, without taking the intake manifold off, and eyeballing the tape measure from above the distance of my towers is 99cm. The short IE bar is 98cm and the big one is 100mm. I'm guessing we have the same problem of our chasis' being the 100mm spec and drooping over time. There is talk around the board that you can jack up the car and the long (or standard) bar will fit. This might be wrong, just taking a stab since I was measuring my car today

Jack the car up under the cross member and leave like that
for a bit and try again.

Ok I got the bar to fit. I talked to one of the guys from IE and he said that I should expand the holes using a dremel or something. So I did and it fits pretty well. The car also feels awesome with the strut bar! I love it! I definitely think it is a good cheap investment for a little extra stiffness.

              Placebo effect.

I could notice a difference in my Cabrio, but my 4 door, I'd be lying if I told you I noticed anything.
