Is numb and sucks on every e30 I've driven. Is there anyway to make it more responsive? There's a huge dead zone thats a quarter turn from center in both direction. Which rack swap or what crazy thing do I have to do fix this?

You need a E36 Non-M Z3 steering rack!!!
